1. Time yourself
Set a 30-minute timer and see how much you can get done in that time, you’ll be amazed how much you can achieve when you’re focused!
2. Wipe down your shower after every use
It will take 2 minutes to give it a quick wipe down and it will actually cut down on time later trying to get rid of mildew or limescale build up
3. Make a cleaning apron
This will save you time going back and forth to the cupboard to get supplies. A kitchen apron with pockets will do, and simply stash your gloves, sponge, polish, sprays in there and you’re good to go!
4. Shower your houseplants
Don’t clean and water them individually by hand, simply pop them in the shower basin and spray the shower over them. This will get rid of all the dust and give them a refreshing drink.
5. Use Newspaper
Put a few sheets of newspaper in the bottom of your bins to absorb any moisture or liquids that could ooze out when you empty them.
6. Changing the bed
Store your bed sheets inside the pillowcase, this will save time when coming to make the bed and it is also a really efficient way to store them.
7. Dusting your lampshades
Use a clothes lint roller on lampshades to take off any excess dust, simply brush it off the surface and the dust will come off.
8. Use old socks
Use a damp sock over your hand like a glove, to dust blinds! A simple and quick way to clean all those slats
9. Save your old toothbrush
Use an old toothbrush to clean around taps, corners and small hard to reach places. You’ll be amazed at the dirt and grim they can pick up that you previously couldn’t touch
10. Clean the floor last
Work from top to bottom to avoid dust and dirt settling on already clean surfaces and remember to always vacuum then mop at the end.
